~ Club History - A Look Back in Time ~
During the 2003 season various initiatives were held to commemorate the occasion of the club's 100th birthday and ‘100 Years of Tradition’. On the opening round of the season a group of past players were assembled for the day to meet the then current players prior to the match and attend the after match buffet.
John Baines
John played over 100 games for the club, coached the senior team in 1966 and 1967 and from 1973-1975. John also coached the reserve team and assisted with senior coaching in other years.
Best and Fairest winner – 1966, 1967, 1973 – and was also a State Team Representative.
Bob Kerr
Bob commenced in the Junior Colts in the 1950’s and played almost 200 games with the club including many in the first team. After retiring as a player Bob went on to become a respected referee for many years.
Colin Alagich (Senior)
Colin started playing in the Junior Colts in the 1950’s and played over 500 games including 300 Senior games, assisted on the committee over many years and successfully coached under age teams from U/10’s to U/19’s until 1997.
Best and Fairest 1965, 1965, 1968 and 1974. Also obtained Life Membership.
Gene Lomman
Gene began playing in the Colts in the 1950’s and played in excess of 200 games for the club, coached Colts teams in 1989-1990, was club Secretary and is a club Life Member along with wife Dianne. He was also awarded the SASF Meritorious Service Medal in 2001.
Ron Cocks
Ron was another who started in the Colts in the 50’s. Ron played in excess of 500 games for the club including over 100 first team games, served on the committee for many years and was secretary in 1963.
Gary Knoblauch
Gary started with the Colts in the 50’s and played around 450 games for the club, many in the first team. Gary was Secretary for 10 years from 1968 to 1977 and was one of the people instrumental in the building of the clubrooms in the early 1970’s – Gary also obtained Life Membership.
Neville Yeing
Neville played almost 300 games for the club including 200 senior games, coached senior team from 1978-80 (2Div, Champ and Federation Cup in 1979) and again in 1992. He also served on the club committee including the position of Chairman in 1982 and also attained Life Membership.

Zenon Hadaj
Zenon played over 200 senior games for the club over a period of 10 years and served on the club committee, including as secretary in 1980.

Football is happiness. I need to feel happy listening to great songs from my home country.
What is your favorite soccer memory?
In November of 2005, my team Gremio came back to the first division in Brazil, after winning the final game playing only with 7 men against 11 and had 2 penalties against. Biggest win of football history.
What is your biggest soccer accomplishment?
Coaching the Juniors.
What do you think makes a great soccer player?
Commitment and enjoy what you do.
What is your favorite soccer drill or exercise?
Short pitch for 7x7, 5x5 …
What is your favorite thing about playing soccer?
Enjoy it and bring the game some of my skills.
How do you like to celebrate a goal?
Hugging the team and the coach.
What is your favorite soccer tournament or competition to play in?
I love playing Cups or Final series.
